As temperatures gradually rise, various localities across Bozhou Prefecture, Xinjiang, have seized the favorable window of opportunity to systematically advance their spring cotton sowing operations over recent days, creating a bustling scene of activity throughout the fields.

On March 30, in the cotton fields of Huhehashia South Village in Daheyanyizi Town, Jinghe County, seeders equipped with the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System crisscrossed the land. These machines simultaneously executed multiple operations—including the laying of drip irrigation tapes, sowing, covering with soil, and leveling—thereby significantly boosting sowing efficiency.

"This year, we plan to plant 2,600 mu of cotton. We currently have five seeders operating simultaneously, and we expect to complete the entire sowing process within the next three days," said Gao Zhanguo, a cotton grower from Utubulage Village in Daheyanyizi Town, Jinghe County.

Since the launch of the spring cotton sowing campaign, the Bozhou Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has swiftly mobilized agricultural technicians to deploy to the front lines, providing comprehensive, end-to-end technical support. These technicians focus on critical aspects of the sowing process—such as controlling planting density, precisely calibrating agricultural machinery, and ensuring adherence to operational standards—offering one-on-one guidance to growers. They promptly identify and resolve various challenges encountered during sowing, utilizing meticulous technical services to safeguard the success of the spring planting season.

Zhang Chongrong, a Senior Engineer and Director of the Office at the Jinghe County Center for Agricultural Mechanization Development, stated: "We have divided our professional technical team into six specialized groups, each deployed to a specific township or farm to provide comprehensive technical support and guidance. From pre-sowing preparations to continuous monitoring throughout the operation, we ensure that every technical issue is resolved both promptly and efficiently, thereby laying a solid foundation for the smooth progression of this year's cotton sowing and for achieving a bountiful harvest."

Currently, the spring cotton sowing campaign in Bozhou is advancing steadily. The bustling figures of farmers in the fields work in perfect harmony with the efficiently operating agricultural machinery, together composing a spirited symphony of spring cultivation that fortifies the foundation for a year of abundant agricultural production. This year, Bortala Prefecture plans to plant 1.42 million mu of cotton. Cotton fields across the region have now successively entered the sowing phase, and the entire sowing process is expected to be completed by the end of April.
